Indictment Issued Against Woman Who Sold Drugs With Child In Car

A Lawrence County Grand Jury has indicted a Nashville woman who allegedly sold drugs during an undercover operation, with a young child inside her car.

Indictments were issued charging Khuneesha Nashay Frey, 29, of Sylvan Street, Nashville, with the crimes of possession of schedule II narcotics, possession of schedule VI narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child neglect.

Drug agents with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department conducted the operation in mid-October. They learned through a tip that two women planned to make a drug transaction in the parking lot of a local restaurant.

They report that an informant came forward, offering to assist in the sting by purchasing marijuana and cocaine.

Frey allegedly made the transaction. Another woman and a four year old child were inside her vehicle at the time. The child belonged to a friend and was released into the custody of her mother. Also arrested was Pulaski resident Amber Watts.

During the operation agents seized 19.4 grams of marijuana, 3.8 grams of cocaine, $380 cash, and Frey’s 2000 Ford Explorer.

Frey was served with the indictment on Monday at the Lawrence County Detention Center. A May 13 appearance was scheduled through Lawrence County Circuit Court.
